Anti-TBC1D8B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein TBC1 domain family member 8B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1120 amino acid residues and a mass of 128.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. TBC1D8B is known to be involved in vesicular recycling, probably as a RAB11B GTPase-activating protein. The TBC1D8B gene has been associated with the disease, Nephrotic syndrome. Synonyms for this target antigen include NPHS20, RP11-321G1.1, TBC1 domain family, member 8B (with GRAM domain), and GRAMD8B. TBC1D8B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some TBC1D8B antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
