Anti-SIAT7C antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the SIAT7C antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ST6GALNAC3 gene, which encodes ST6 N-acetylgalactosaminide alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase 3. This protein is known to function in the metabolism of lipids and protein glycosylation, among other biological roles. The human version of SIAT7C has a canonical amino acid length of 305 residues and a protein mass of 35.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi of cells. SIAT7C is a member of the Glycosyltransferase 29 protein family.
