Anti-IFN-g antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target IFN-g is a known alias name of the protein interferon gamma, encoded by the IFNG gene in humans. This 166-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in adaptive immune responses and the apoptotic pathway, among other biological processes. The protein is secreted and features cleaved and glycosylated post-translational modifications. Other synonyms for IFN-g include IFG, IFI, and IMD69. ELISA is a widely used application for the IFN-g antibodies listed below. In addition, Western Blot is also a common application.
