Anti-Pleckstrin antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the PLEK gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 350 amino acid residues and a mass of 40.1 kDa. The pleckstrin protein is involved with cytoskeleton organization and hematopoietic progenitor cell differentiation, among other functions. Other names for this target antigen include PLEK1, platelet 47 kDa protein, and P47.
