Anti-Iroquois homeobox 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene IRX2 in humans. The gene may also be known as IRXA2, iroquois-class homeodomain protein IRX-2, and homeodomain protein IRXA2. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 49.1 kilodaltons in mass. The IRX2 marker can be used to identify Pancreatic Endocrine Cells.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
