Anti-ANKRD33 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ankyrin repeat domain 33. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 452 amino acid residues and a mass of 49.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the retina. ANKRD33 is known to act as a transcriptional repressor for CRX-activated photoreceptor gene regulation. Synonyms for this target antigen include photoreceptor ankyrin repeat protein and ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 33. ANKRD33 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. ELISA is the most common application for the ANKRD33 antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
