Anti-IQGAP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein IQ motif containing GTPase activating protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1657 amino acid residues and a mass of 189.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane, nucleus, and cytoplasm. It is reported to be expressed in the placenta, lung, and kidney. IQGAP1 is reported to play a crucial role in regulating the dynamics and assembly of the actin cytoskeleton. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include SAR1, p195, ras GTPase-activating-like protein IQGAP1, RasGAP-like with IQ motifs, and HUMORFA01.
