Anti-IQCA1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein IQ motif containing with AAA domain 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 822 amino acid residues and a mass of 95.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the AAA ATPase protein family, IQCA1 is a known component of the nexin-dynein regulatory complex (N-DRC), a key regulator of ciliary/flagellar motility which maintains the alignment and integrity of the distal axoneme and regulates microtubule sliding in motile axonemes. Synonyms for this target antigen include IQ and AAA domain-containing protein 1, dynein regulatory complex subunit 11, and dynein regulatory complex protein 11. IQCA1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the IQCA1 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
