GPAT1, or Glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase, mitochondrial, is a human gene encoded by GPAM. It may also be known as: Glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase 1, mitochondrial; GPAT-1. The encoded protein is an enzyme with an amino acid length of 828 and a mass of 93.8 kDa. Other isoforms may exist. GPAT1 is a member of the GPAT/DAPAT family. Homologs of this gene exist in other organisms, including: Mouse, Rat, Zebrafish, Frog, Chicken.
