HSAN, or N(alpha)-acetyltransferase 50, NatE catalytic subunit, is a human gene encoded by NAA50. It may also be known as: N-alpha-acetyltransferase 50; N-acetyltransferase 13; hNAT5; N-acetyltransferase san homolog; hSAN; NatE catalytic subunit; N-alpha-acetyltransferase 50 ; NAT13; NAT13P; NAT5; NAT5P; SAN. The encoded protein is an enzyme with an amino acid length of 169 and a mass of 19.4 kDa. Other isoforms may exist. HSAN is a member of the Acetyltransferase family, GNAT subfamily. Homologs of this gene exist in other organisms, including: Mouse, Fly, Rat, Zebrafish, Frog, Chicken.
