Anti-ARFGEF2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ADP ribosylation factor guanine nucleotide exchange factor 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1785 amino acid residues and a mass of 202 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles, golgi, and cytoplasm. It is reported to be expressed in placenta, lung, heart, brain, kidney and pancreas. ARFGEF2 is reported to promote guanine-nucleotide exchange on ARF1 and ARF3 and to a lower extent on ARF5 and ARF6. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include PVNH2, dJ1164I10.1, brefeldin A-inhibited guanine nucleotide-exchange protein 2, ADP-ribosylation factor guanine nucleotide-exchange factor 2 (brefeldin A-inhibited), brefeldin A-inhibited GEP 2, and BIG2.
