Anti-ICE1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein interactor of little elongation complex ELL subunit 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 2266 amino acid residues and a mass of 247.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. A member of the ICE1 protein family, ICE1 is a known component of the little elongation complex (LEC), a complex required to regulate small nuclear RNA (snRNA) gene transcription by RNA polymerase II and III. Synonyms for this target antigen include little elongation complex subunit 1, interactor of little elongator complex ELL subunit 1, and KIAA0947. ICE1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some ICE1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Western Blot is also a common application.
