Anti-Serine Racemase antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the SRR gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 340 amino acid residues and a mass of 36.6 kDa. A member of the Serine/threonine dehydratase protein family, it is known to catalyze the synthesis of D-serine from L-serine. Other names for this target antigen include D-serine dehydratase, L-serine ammonia-lyase, L-serine dehydratase, and D-serine ammonia-lyase.
