Anti-RAB28 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein RAB28, member RAS oncogene family. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 221 amino acid residues and a mass of 24.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Rab protein family, RAB28 is known to be involved with intracellular protein transport. The RAB28 gene has been associated with the disease, Cone-rod dystrophy. Synonyms for this target antigen include CORD18 and ras-related protein Rab-28. RAB28 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some RAB28 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
