Anti-COX11 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cytochrome c oxidase copper chaperone COX11. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 276 amino acid residues and a mass of 31.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. It is a member of the COX11/CtaG protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include MC4DN23, cytochrome c oxidase assembly protein COX11, mitochondrial, COX11 homolog, cytochrome c oxidase assembly protein, COX11, cytochrome c oxidase copper chaperone, and COX11P. COX11 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some COX11 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
