Anti-IMPACT antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein impact RWD domain protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 320 amino acid residues and a mass of 36.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the IMPACT protein family, IMPACT is reported to be a translational regulator that ensures constant high levels of translation upon a variety of stress conditions, such as amino acid starvation, UV-C irradiation, proteasome inhibitor treatment and glucose deprivation. Synonyms for this target antigen include Impact homolog, RWD domain containing 5, imprinted and ancient gene protein homolog, and protein IMPACT. IMPACT gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some IMPACT antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
