Anti-RNase L antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the RNase L antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the RNASEL gene, which encodes ribonuclease L. This protein is known to function in viral immune response and fat cell differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of RNase L has a canonical amino acid length of 741 residues and a protein mass of 83.5 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. RNase L is a member of the Protein kinase protein superfamily. Indicated applications for RNase L antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
