Anti-C9orf40 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein chromosome 9 open reading frame 40. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 194 amino acid residues and a mass of 21.1 kDa. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the bronchus and cerebellum. Synonyms for this target antigen include uncharacterized protein C9orf40. C9orf40 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for C9orf40 antibodies.
