Anti-P1-450 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the P1-450 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CYP1A1 gene, which encodes cytochrome P450 family 1 subfamily A member 1. This protein is known to function in pathways of aging and eye development, among other biological roles. The human version of P1-450 has a canonical amino acid length of 512 residues and a protein mass of 58.2 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria, ER, and cytoplasm of cells. Other names for this target antigen include AHH, AHRR, and CP11. Some P1-450 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
