Anti-MLCK2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MLCK2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MYLK3 gene, which encodes myosin light chain kinase 3. This protein is known to function in protein phosphorylation, among other biological roles. The human version of MLCK2 has a canonical amino acid length of 819 residues and a protein mass of 88.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the heart muscle. MLCK2 is a member of the CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family.
