Anti-colipase antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the CLPS gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 112 amino acid residues and a mass of 12 kDa. It is known to be a secreted protein. It is notably expressed by the pancreas. A member of the Colipase protein family, it is known to be involved with the metabolism of lipids. Other names for this target antigen include colipase, pancreatic and pancreatic colipase preproprotein. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. ELISA is the most common application for the colipase antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
