Anti-RhoJ antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ras homolog family member J. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 214 amino acid residues and a mass of 23.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. It is notably expressed in endothelial cells in different tissues, such as brain, heart, lung and liver. A member of the Rho protein family, it is known to be involved with cytoskeleton organization and angiogenesis. Post-translational modifications have been described, including palmitoylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include RAS-like, family 7, member B, TC10-like Rho GTPase, ras homolog gene family, member J, ras-like protein family member 7B, tc10-like GTP-binding protein, and rho-related GTP-binding protein RhoJ.
