Anti-homeo box D3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the HOXD3 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 432 amino acid residues and a mass of 45.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. A member of the Antp homeobox protein family, it is known to be involved with cartilage development and cell matrix adhesion. Other names for this target antigen include HOX1D and HOX4.
