Anti-PAPI antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PAPI is a known alias name of the protein pyroglutamyl-peptidase I, encoded by the PGPEP1 gene in humans. This 209-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in proteolysis, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for PAPI include PGI and PGP. Indicated applications for PAPI antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
