Anti-SP100 nuclear antigen antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene SP100 in humans. The gene may also be known as nuclear antigen Sp100, lysp100b, nuclear autoantigen Sp-100, and SP100-HMG nuclear autoantigen. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 100.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
