Anti-ApoB(100) antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ApoB(100) is a known alias name of the protein apolipoprotein B, encoded by the APOB gene in humans. This 4563-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in TNF-mediated cellular signaling pathways and cholesterol metabolism and homeostasis, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasm and is secreted of the cell and features palmitoylated and glycosylated post-translational modifications. Other synonyms for ApoB(100) include FCHL2, FLDB, and LDLCQ4. Western Blot is a widely used application for the ApoB(100) antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
