Anti-Takrp antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Takrp antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the KBTBD8 gene, which encodes kelch repeat and BTB domain containing 8. This protein is reported to be a substrate-specific adapter of a BCR (BTB-CUL3-RBX1) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex that acts as a regulator of neural crest specification. The human version of Takrp has a canonical amino acid length of 601 residues and a protein mass of 68.8 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix, tonsil, and adrenal gland. Takrp is a member of the KBTBD8 protein family.
