Anti-MERM1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The MERM1 antigen is another term for the human protein BUD23 rRNA methyltransferase and ribosome maturation factor, encoded by the BUD23 gene. The protein is reported to be a S-adenosyl-L-methionine-dependent methyltransferase that specifically methylates the N(7) position of a guanine in 18S rRNA. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 281 residues and a mass of 31.9 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm and it is found to be widely expressed, with high levels in the heart, skeletal muscle and kidney. The MERM1 protein is a member of the BUD23/WBSCR22 protein family. Indicated applications for MERM1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
