Anti-FucM antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the FucM antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the FUOM gene, which encodes fucose mutarotase. This protein is known to function in metabolic processes, among other biological roles. The human version of FucM has a canonical amino acid length of 154 residues and a protein mass of 16.8 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. FucM is a member of the RbsD / FucU protein family.
