Anti-GE1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target GE1 is a known alias name of the protein enhancer of mRNA decapping 4, encoded by the EDC4 gene in humans. This 1401-amino acid residue protein is a member of the WD repeat EDC4 protein family. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. The term Ge-1 is another synonym for GE1.
