Anti-NBIA4 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The NBIA4 antigen is another term for the human protein WD repeat domain 45, encoded by the WDR45 gene. The protein is a known component of the autophagy machinery that controls the major intracellular degradation process by which cytoplasmic materials are packaged into autophagosomes and delivered to lysosomes for degradation. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 360 residues and a mass of 39.9 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm and it is widely expressed across many tissue types. The NBIA4 protein is a member of the WD repeat PROPPIN protein family.
