Anti-PYY-I antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PYY-I antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PYY gene, which encodes peptide YY. This protein is known to function in intestinal epithelial cell differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of PYY-I has a canonical amino acid length of 97 residues and a protein mass of 11.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be a secreted protein that is notably expressed in the small intestine, rectum, duodenum, colon, and appendix. This target antigen may also be known as PYY-I. ELISA is the most common application for the PYY-I antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
