Anti-p70 S6KA antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The p70 S6KA antigen is another term for the human protein ribosomal protein S6 kinase B1, encoded by the RPS6KB1 gene. The protein is a type of serine/threonine-protein kinase that acts downstream of mTOR signaling in response to growth factors and nutrients to promote cell proliferation, cell growth and cell cycle progression. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 525 residues and a mass of 59.1 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria and it is widely expressed across many tissue types. The p70 S6KA protein is a member of the AGC Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family. Other alias names for p70 S6KA include PS6K, PS6K, and S6K. Western Blot is the most common application for the p70 S6KA antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
