Human Monocyte Isolation

Monocytes are large, mononuclear leukocytes arising in the bone marrow from monoblast precursor cells. They circulate in the blood vessels for about one to three days. Some proceed to migrate to other tissues and cavities in the body to differentiate into macrophages and dendritic cells. Ready to use human monocyte isolation products are available, typically utilizing magnetic binding to key cell markers such as CD14 and CD16.
