I am studying the effect of extracellular phospholipid on microglia signalling cascade. In response to the phospholipid, there is an increase in phosphorylation of Akt at Serine 473, with no changes in the level of total Akt protein in primary murine microglia. The protein expression of Akt was detected using immunoblotting.

The antibody was very sensitive and gave a single specific bands. The bands indicated protein expression of total AKT in reponse to the extracellular phospholipid in primary murine microglia. This antibody is used to investigate AKT signaling cascade.
