I used this recombinant human GM-CSF Protein for in-vitro differentiation of blood monocytes into macrophages, M0 like macrophage. Cultured for days in growth media with 20ng/ml (final concentration) and found that monocytes were turned into M0 like macrophages. It works great and results are consistent with each preparation of monocytes. We found this growth factor as a very reliable for macrophage differentiation.

Culture monocytes in GM-CSF 20ng/ml for 10 days to get M0 phenotype like macrophages.
10 days of stimulation of monocytes by GM-cSF at 20 ng/mL is good enough to generate M0 like macrophages The results are consistent and reliable.
