This antibody is one of the best commercially available. It's specific for the isoform spliced of XBP1 (XBP1s). However, who uses this antibody should be aware of an unspecific band in close proximity (below) of the XBP1s band.

This antibody is specific for XBP1. A gene knockout for XBP1 in MDA-MB-231 was able deplete the expression and its detection in WB. However, an unspecific band is detected in proximity of XBP1s. A 8% gel was used to properly separate the two bands.
Specific antibody at a very good price.
It always gives an unspecific band which might be confused by XBP1s.
