We bought the ELISA MAX™ Deluxe Set Human IL-1β for our inflammasome project. We used it to detect the secreted IL-1b from human macrophage cultures. The kit is very sensitive and easy to use, especially, it is not so expensive! We recommend it!

Culture supernatant of human macrophages, grow in RPMI-1640 medium.
Human macrophages treated with LPS+ATP released significant amount of IL-1b, whereas control cells (no treatment) only negligible amount of cytokine.
Very sensitive and cheap.
