BioLegend

Product Name:

Apotracker™ Green

Catalog Number:

427402

In this assay I treated Jurkat cells with a FAS agonist antibody to induce apoptosis. I then stained with Biolegend's next Apotracker green to test it.

Detection

Flow cytometer, FITC channel

Results Summary

This apotracker green reagent was able to easily detect the apoptosis induced by FAS. I checked it against a live/dead cell reagent commonly used in my lab(Cell titer glo) and the results of the apotracker green matched with those from the cell titer glo.

Additional Notes

I used at 1:50, but protocol suggests use between 1:50-1:400 (depending on cell type)

Summary

The Good

Quick/easy to use, no special buffers required

The Bad

Nothing bad

The Bottom Line

This worked great for detecting FAS agonist-mediated Apoptosis in my assay. I look forward to using it in the future.
