B lineage cells play a major role in pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases through presentation of antigen to T cells, production of autoantibodies and inflammatory cytokines that modulate immune responses. We are interested in elucidating the biology of B lineage cells during autoimmunity. In this experiment, I use anti-CD138 to stain antibody-secreting cells.
