Ready-to-use dissociation for human pluripotent stem cells that breakes down the colonies into single cells. We use in mostly for differentiation protocols.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Dissociation of human pluripotent stem cell colonies (hPSCs)

Starting Material

hPSCs of interest, PBS

Tips

Use only if you need to break down the colonies into single cells.

Results Summary

Easy to use reagent: after 5 mins when the colonies are disassociated, just quench with PBS. Can use less that recommended amount of reagent (I usually use 300 ul for a well of a 6 well plate).

Summary

The Good

Stable at RT, reproducible results.

The Bad

Not as gentle as other reagents.

The Bottom Line

It is often needed to break down hPSC colonies into single cells to further differentiate into relevant cell types. We use this reagent for downstream processes like formation of embryoid bodies (EBs).
