Aim of the experiment was to measure the study state levels of p70 S6 kinase α in growth factor treated human cell line and to normalise the immunoblot for the extent of growth factor-induced post-translational modification of p70 S6 kinase α phosphorylated form. The immunoblot used for the detection for phospho-p70 S6 kinase levels were stripped, and re-probed with p70 S6 kinase α antibody procured from Santacruz Biotechnology Inc. Enhanced chemiluminescent detection in X-Ray films
Excellent detection of p70 S6 kinase α was observed with the antibody. However, there were a few bright non-specific bands so; it can be graded as a right antibody for p70 S6 kinase α in human cells.
