Company:

Thermo Fisher Scientific

Product Name:

Lipofectamine 2000 Transfection Reagent

Catalog Number:

11668027

1 μg of ER-localized TRICA-mCherry DNA and 1.5 μl lipofectamine 2000 were diluted separately in 100 μl Optimem. After 5 min, diluted DNA was added to diluted lipofectamine 2000 and incubated for 15 min. The complex was added to HEK293 cells (around 70-80% confluent) in 35-mm dish and incubated for 8 h.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

DNA transfection into cell lines.

Starting Material

DNA plasmid

Tips

Don't incubate DNA-lipid complex for more than 30 min.

Results Summary

The transfected cells were visualized after 24 h for mCherry fluorescence, localized in the endoplasmic reticulum.
