Product Name:

Murine IL-6 Mini TMB ELISA Development Kit

Catalog Number:

900-TM50

Primary murine microglia were treated with lysophospatidic acid (LPA) 1µM in the presence or absence of a PKD family inhibitor (CRT; 1µM). Differences in levels of various pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines were analyzed using ELISA kits.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

ELISA

Starting Material

Primary murine microglia

Tips

It is better to apply the coating antibody overnight and not just 2h as it is suggested in the kit's manual.

Results Summary

LPA treatment induced an increase in the expression of IL-6 after 2h. After 8 and 24h it had no effect. CRT (red bars) could decrease the LPA induced IL6 expression.

The Good

Easy to use, reproducible results

The Bad

Since it's not a pre-coated ELISA, the experimental procedure takes a bit longer.

The Bottom Line

A reliable product for the detection of IL-6.
