The Bottom Line
This is a great tool for dissociating a variety of tissues into single-cell suspensions or even making them into lysates (with different, tighter grinder tubes). The design allows both mechanical and enzymatic dissociation to occur simultaneously and reproducibly, unlike manual trituration/homogenization and then incubation in a water bath. Being able to run many samples independently at once is also very helpful for batch processing without having to wait for the usual bottleneck of tissue collection.
