Qiagen's plasmid DNA purification kit is slightly more expensive than kits available from other sources, but it is worth the extra expense, especially if you have new students working with the kit. The protocol is very well-written and tubes and reagents well-labeled to reduce the likelihood of mistakes. We have been using this kit for several years and the DNA yield and quality are very consistent for high copy plasmids.
