The WNT pathway is essential for embryonic development and adult tissue homeostasis. Deregulation of this pathway results in cancers of the stomach, intestine, breast, etc. I am interested in studying the molecular mechanism of oncogenic WNT signal transduction to identify potential targets for therapeutic intervention of colon cancer. The goal of this experiment is to determine good working antibodies for the purpose of blotting some of the core components of the WNT pathway. This antibody is excellent for detecting Axin1 by western blot.
Western Blot
RKO (whole-cell extract)
1:1000 dilution in 1xTBS-T; overnight at 4°C for 16 hr
5% BSA in TBS-T
1:10,000 dilution of donkey anti-rabbit IgG+HRP; 1 hr at room temperature
