I am interested in studying the molecular mechanism of hedgehog signal transduction in vertebrate cells. I had performed a CRISPR/Cas9 genetic screen to uncover new regulators of hedgehog signaling pathway. One of the negative regulators identified in these screens is known to regulate a cell surface receptor relevant to hedgehog pathway. The goal of this experiment is to determine if this gene affects the overall levels of one of the R-spondin receptors, LGR4.
