Brilliant Violet 650™ anti-mouse CD8a Antibody

Catalog Number:

We are an immunology lab studying CD8 T cell memory differentiation. CD8 staining is routinely used to identify CD8 T cells during flow analysis. We performed adoptive transfer in vivo experiments, and harvest spleens during the acute response of infection. I used this antibody in my T cell panel to identify the CD8 T cells in the spleen. I chose this product since it fit well in my 12 color panel. Biolegend was one of the few vendors reliably offering this marker with this particular clone and color.

Results Summary

I analyzed the adoptively transferred cells during the acute response. However, I used this antibody first to get on the total CD8 T cells within the spleen before gating further.

Summary

The Good

Very robust and bright antibody to identify donor cells.

The Bad

Please make sure to titrate the antibody before use since it can be quite bright depending on analyzer.

The Bottom Line

Great antibody to really identify and gate out CD8 T cells within samples for flow analysis.
