Company:

BioLegend

Product Name:

APC Annexin V

Catalog Number:

640920

We often look at the effects of different compounds on cell viability and apoptosis. We typically use Annexin V in combination with 7AAD or PI, to determine apoptosis by flow cytometry. We prefer the APC conjugated (versus FITC) reagent since it allows us to use several other antibodies which are only available as a FITC conjugate. We include a positive control for each assay, which is usually cells treated for 2-4 hours with hydrogen peroxide to induce cell death.

The Bottom Line

Since BioLegend's Annexin V APC works as well as other competitors and is a lower price, I will continue to order from BioLegend when I need Annexin V.
